A signing ceremony between Danfoss IXA and world’s largest shipbuilding company Hyundai Heavy Industries at the Danfoss Headquarter in Nordborg, marks the next great step in the partnership going forward. Danfoss IXA will in this new contractual collaboration supply marine emission sensor MES 1001 to Hyundai Heavy Industries’ Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) solutions to the entire engine program. The sensor, which measures NOx, SO2 and Ammonia, will measure NOx to monitor the SCR performance, thereby contributing to greater transparency of emissions in the maritime industry.
The collaboration was initiated back in 2016 in which the first sensor was delivered for test on commercial vessels. The contract marks a successful completion of test, operation and design approval.
At the ceremony, Danfoss IXA was represented by Managing Director Frank Hansen, Danfoss by Senior Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions Troels Petersen and Chairman of the Board Jørgen Mads Clausen, and Hyundai Heavy Industries by Head of Procurement planning team and General Manager, Jong Woo Beck and Procurement Officer Kwan Woo Kim.
Danfoss IXA is pleased to take the long-term partnership to the next level, continuing the good relationship and supporting Hyundai Heavy Industries’ production of sustainable solutions to the maritime industry.
